Small is the new Big. The bubble has burst. Companies that have grown grotesquely big are collapsing under the burden of their own weight. We have a better idea. It isn't new. In fact Volkswagen put it quite well years ago: Think small.BrandingMarketing
Mike Scardino
Chief Creative Officer

There are moths. There are lightbulbs. Then, there's Mike and advertising.

After a career in the Big Apple working for super-big agencies [JWT, Y&R, Dentsu] and super-duper creative shops [Chiat/Day, Ally & Gargano], Mike decided to swap a 4-1/2 hour round-trip commute for life by a lake in sunny South Carolina. There, he found out two things that surprised him. He hated working on his own as a consultant [couldn't get along with his boss] and he missed the lightbulb of agency life.

He has worked on more accounts than he can remember without looking at a cheat sheet. Some include: FedEx, AT&T, IBM, Hertz, Canon, Saab, Siemens, Continental Airlines – just about everything except fashion. [Fortunately for all, his wife selects his clothes]. He has won lots of awards as a writer, creative director and CCO. He knows they are somewhere, probably packed with his Boy Scout stuff. His work for his clients is the stuff case studies are made of.

But his main passion is the next lightbulb on the horizon. Keeps him up at nights. Gets him going in the morning. And so far, he says he's only been burned a little.
